Who can nominate?
Anyone is welcome to nominate a Vet Nurse or Vet, permitting they are at least 18 years of age at the time they are nominating.
To nominate a practice for the Vet Practice award, you must not be a current or former employee from the last 12 months of the practice you are nominating.
When to enter
The competition opens at 9am on Wednesday, August 1 2018
The closing date for nominations is 4pm on Friday,September 7 2018
The public vote for top 5 finalists from each category will open at 9am on Monday, September 17, 2018 and run through to 5pm on Friday, October 5, 2018.
How to enter
Nominations will only be accepted by fully completing the nomination form via the Petplan website – www.petplan.com.au/vetawards
Number of nominations
Vet Nurses, Vets and Vet Practices may be nominated by multiple nominators, but the number of individual responses does not affect the judging criteria.
During the public vote, you may only vote once per award.
Judging
The top 5 finalists from each category will be determined by a panel of judges appointed by Petplan.
The top 5 finalists will then go to a public vote and the nominee from each category with the highest amount of votes will win.
Notification
The award recipients will be notified by either phone or email on Vet Nurse Day 2018 – Friday, October 12, 2018.
Winners
If the award recipient cannot be contacted or meet the requirements, Petplan reserves the right to select a replacement recipient.
Prizes
The prize for each winner from the three categories will include a trophy, flowers & a donation (Supported by Royal Canin) to a charity of choice*.
The prize will be presented to each winner either in person by a Petplan representative, or in the mail if a representative cannot get to them.
General terms and conditions
There will be one winner from each category.
There is no cost for entry. Entries must be received by us through our website (www.petplan.com.au/vetawards) between and including Monday, July 10 and Friday, September 1.
Petplan does not claim ownership rights in your content. By making your content available through the submission form,

Petplan has no ability to control the content you may submit and does not have any obligation to monitor such content for any purpose.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all content and material you submit.
The contest and service is provided by Petplan, and Petplan reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the contest,

You agree that Petplan is and will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the hosting.
Entry is free and open to Australian residents only, aged 18 years or older who complete, in full, the entry form available during the promotional period.
Employees and immediate family of the promoter and suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
The promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss)
or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law.
The promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection
with this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter
including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention,
technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity
or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion
subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual
who the promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct
calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
