Mitsubishi Motors Australian 3 Day Event 2017

Petplan Equine recently attended the 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Australian Three Day Event. The event was held in the heart of Adelaide City in the beautiful Victoria Park from the 15th to the 19th of November. The entries included some of the top Australian performers in the sport. Competitors came from all over Australia, including a very competitive New Zealand team. 
 
The first two days included the dressage phase where New Zealand's Clarke Johnstone and Balmoral Sensation held the lead in the 4* class going into Cross Country. The Cross-country was a tough track and wasn't without eliminations and competitors retiring on course. It was a glorious day with beautiful weather with lots of exciting viewing. 

The final phase of Show jumping saw the leader right the way through take out the competition. Well done to Clarke Johnstone and all affiliated with the remarkable Gelding Balmoral Sensation. Coming in second and third place we had Australian Olympic medalists Megan Jones followed by Stuart Tinney, Megan riding home bred Kirby Park Impress and Stuart riding War Hawk.
